LAMBRUSCO DI MODENA ROSATO
Read onLambrusco is one of Italy’s most popular wines with consumers, featuring at the top of national sales lists and among the most important wines exported all over the world. For the most part it is a red semi-sparkling wine, but the production of fully sparkling wines is increasing, while that of still wines is fairly insignificant.
It is in fact considered to be the most widely distributed Italian red wine. Its production is concentrated in the Provinces of Modena and Reggio Emilia in the Emilia-Romagna Region, plus a limited area in the Mantua area. It can be made from 13 related varieties, of which, however, only 5 are frequently planted.
In general, the wine does not have a high level of alcohol and is characterized by a red mousse, floral scents of violet and rose, accompanied by fruity notes reminiscent of cherry, blackberry, raspberry and blueberry, along with a characteristic freshness of flavor.
